Our brief on this project was to fully refurbish and extend an existing 3 bedroom bungalow to provide a spacious wheelchair-accessible family home. We completely reconfigured the ground floor, repositioning the living room, kitchen, dining room and extending the ground floor master bedroom to provide an en-suite. In addition, the client also wanted to include an office and storage area in the existing garage. We were also tasked with converting the existing loft into habitable space to include two double bedrooms and a bathroom to accommodate the client’s extended family during the holidays. The client's priority was the extension of the master bedroom kitchen and dining room, as the clients home is the focal point of their large family during the holidays and weekends. We needed to create a space where the majority of the family could cook, socialise and dine without the space feeling too cramped.
